EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (July 16, 2012) — The corporation has announced changes in leadership within three of its business units, Space Systems Group (SSG), Engineering and Technology Group (ETG), and National Systems Group (NSG).
Dr. Charles Gustafson, general manager, Vehicle Systems Division (VSD), ETG, has been named general manager, Launch Systems Division, Space Launch Operations (SLO), SSG, effective Aug. 4.
As previously announced, Randy Kendall will serve as vice president of Civil and Commercial Operations (CCO) upon the retirement of CCO Vice President Gary Pulliam, effective Oct. 1. Gustafson will succeed Kendall. Kendall will serve as special assistant to the CCO vice president during the transition period of Aug. 4 through Sept. 30.
Dr. Jeffery Emdee, who serves as principal director, Mission Planning and Payload Integration, Launch Operations Division, SLO, has been promoted to general manager, VSD, replacing Gustafson, effective Aug. 4.
Jack Maguire, associate general manager, Electronic Programs Division (EPD), NSG, has been named general manager, EPD, NSG, succeeding Dr. Joseph Strada, who recently announced his retirement. Maguire’s new position is effective Sept. 1.
The Aerospace Corporation, based in El Segundo, Calif., is a California nonprofit corporation that provides objective technical analyses and assessments for critical national security space programs and selected civil and commercial space programs in the national interest. Aerospace has been assuring space mission success for over 50 years.
