Aerospace Named as One of the 2014 World’s Most Ethical Companies

El Segundo, Calif. (Mar. 21, 2014) – The Aerospace Corporation has been named as one of the Ethisphere Institute’s 2014 World’s Most Ethical Companies. The appointment recognizes Aerospace’s commitment to promoting the highest ethical standards in its business practices. This is the seventh year in a row that Aerospace has received the distinction.

“We have rigorous ethical standards and practices at the corporation,” said Dr. Wanda Austin, president and CEO of The Aerospace Corporation. “We appreciate Ethisphere’s recognition of our efforts.”

Aerospace was one of many companies nominated for the award this year. The corporation was selected because of its business practices and initiatives that are instrumental to the company’s success, benefit the community, and raise the bar for ethical standards within the industry.

“The Aerospace Corporation recognizes the importance of creating an ethical culture and that the compliance and ethics program is key,” said Ethisphere’s chief executive officer, Timothy Erblich. “We congratulate everyone at Aerospace for this extraordinary achievement.”

This is the eighth year Ethisphere has published the WME rankings. Ethisphere reviewed hundreds of companies and evaluated a record number of applications utilizing its propriety methodology, which uses in-depth research and multi-step analysis. The 2014 list features companies in more than three dozen industries, including 40 companies headquartered outside the United States.

The Aerospace Corporation is a California nonprofit corporation that operates a federally funded research and development center and has almost 3,500 employees. It provides technical guidance and advice on all aspects of space missions to military, civil, and commercial customers to assure space mission success. The Aerospace Corporation is headquartered in El Segundo, Calif., with multiple locations across the United States.
