March 1969
First telemetry data in strip chart recording form, sent in March 1969 from an Air Force satellite, OVI-17, is reviewed in hallway by Aerospace scientists (from left) Dr. J. R. Stevens, Sam LaValle, Dr. M.A. Clark and P.H. Metzger. In “good old days.” preliminary telemetry analysis was done in hallways, the only place long enough to unroll an orbit’s worth of data.
