Knowledge Is Our Product

The Aerospace Corporation was founded to bring together the brightest technical and scientific minds in the industry to support national security space programs. As the federally funded research and development center for national security space,
Aerospace's single most important product is knowledge. And because the space industry is characterized by increasingly rapid technological change and the expanding needs of our customers, it is imperative that the men and women of Aerospace continually develop in their careers and in their engineering and scientific disciplines.

The company has an extensive educational program offered to employees through The Aerospace Institute, which also offers courses to our customers and members of the space industry. We maintain annual continuing education goals for all employees, who are challenged to develop and sustain high levels of competency in a variety of technical (engineering and scientific), management, leadership, business, computing, and administrative professional skills. A new corporate policy, "Continuing Learning and Knowledge Sharing," was established to provide guidance in our corporate educational endeavors and to promote an environment conducive to individual development critical to the future of the company.

In addition, we offer two important educational products -- the Space Primer and GPS Primer -- which offer a general overview of rocket science and the Global Positioning System for students and educators. Information about the company's history and work in national security space is published twice a year in Crosslink magazine.
