For nearly 60 years, The Aerospace Corporation has been dedicated to helping its customers meet an increasing demand for expertise in an ever-changing technological landscape. In recent years, the number of U.S. students studying the STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering, and math) has steadily declined. This presents a growing challenge to our industry, and a direct challenge to our ability to assemble the finest technical talent pool required for mission success.

To inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists, The Aerospace Corporation established the Aerospace STEM Endowment Fund in 2015 to provide critical support and resources to disadvantaged students pursuing academic and vocational goals in the STEM disciplines. The fund supports scholarships, grants, and teacher education programs, and will expand its offerings as the fund grows.

Our first scholarship offering is the Dr. Wanda M. Austin STEM Scholarship program, which targets high school seniors from communities that are traditionally underrepresented in the STEM fields.
