Innovative approaches to solving difficult problems has been a signature methodology of Aerospace scientists and engineers since the founding of the company more than 50 years ago. As a result, Aerospace employees over the years have been awarded hundreds of patents for new techniques, procedures, materials, and devices.
While most Aerospace patents relate to specific situations or instruments connected with space hardware, software, or ground control, some have broader applications and have been licensed for purposes ranging from building better golf clubs to detecting toxic fumes, from manufacturing cosmetics to sequencing DNA.
On the left are yearly summaries of some of the corporation’s patents.
A complete listing of Aerospace patents is available through the U.S. Patent Office.
