Aerospace named among best places to work for disabled

LogoEL SEGUNDO, Calif., Dec. 21, 2009 - Aerospace recently ranked 34th on the 19th annual “Top 50 Companies” listing in CAREERS & the disABLED Magazine and will be among the top 50 employers featured in the winter 2009-10 edition of the publication.

The magazine’s readers selected the top companies in the nation for which they would most prefer to work or which they believe provides a positive working environment for people with disabilities. Last year, Aerospace ranked 44th on the list.

CAREERS & the disABLED was established in 1986 and is the only national career recruitment publication for people with disabilities in the United States. The publication is distributed to 1,400 university placement offices and to all related student and professional associations and societies.

Aerospace has an affinity group called the Aerospace Totally Adaptable Group that aims to heighten awareness of physically and mentally challenged individuals. ATAG is open to all employees and their family members.
