Laser-scripted pixelation

Laser-scripted pixelation is a direct-write phase-transformation process based on the precise and position-synchronized delivery of discrete laser-pulse “scripts.” The single-step maskless process does not rely on photolithography or etching for pixel structure formation or pattern transfer. The result is a freestanding thin-film membrane comprising infrared-activated pixel regions (gray inset shows a single 100 × 100 µm pixel) that are isolated within an inactive nanoparticle matrix.  More »
